ShaiLightsCandles was established December 2020 after the sudden passing of my older sister Aaliyah Dickerson-Wray. I wanted to find a way to continue and honor her memory. Just as she was a bright light in my life, I hope my candles can bring light to yours.
Meet Lashaiah
My name is LaShaiah Dickerson and I am the creator of Shai Lights Candles! I am a woman of many hat: a college student, activist, organizer, and candle maker. I’ve always loved candles and always maintained a collection of them. I then developed a desire to create them myself. After the passing of Aaliyah, I needed to find a positive outlet to cope with that loss, and then came candlemaking. From there, I decided to create and dedicate this business to Aaliyah, her memory, and our family for their continued love and support! Each candle is dedicated to an important person in my life. Liyah lilac

Liyah Lilac is the candle that started it all! When I think of Aaliyah, I think of flowers automatically. She was blossoming in life and achieving many accomplishments. Lilac was the perfect option for her sent. The sweet smell of lilac and the beautiful shade of purple all reminded me of her. Although she was taken from us way too soon, her spirit and her memory live on. Shai Lights Candles is dedicated to Aaliyah.
